The Bucharest Energy Charter Conference is now available on the Energy Charter YouTube channel

The Bucharest International Energy Charter Forum brought together ministers and representatives of national and local governments and regulatory agencies of member and observer countries of the Energy Charter Conference, with relatively high representation of countries from Europe and Asia. The Forum also engaged senior experts from various international and financial institutions including the European Commission, the International Energy Forum (IEF), the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC). Representatives of consumer and business associations, NGOs, universities and other relevant organizations also took part in the Forum’s discussions

Delegates discussed ways in which investment in energy efficiency could be ramped up and targeted towards addressing energy poverty. The Forum aimed to inspire action on sharing the best solutions concerning financing possibilities and the best practices used in the implementation of energy efficiency programs and projects, particularly in low income areas.
