Apart from the important topic of the fifth quinquennial review under Art. 34(7) ECT to be carried out next year 2019, the Conference also discussed and approved the Bucharest Energy Charter Declaration, the list of topics for the discussion on modernisation of the ECT and invited Eswatini to accede to the Energy Charter Treaty.
The 29th meeting of the Energy Charter Conference continued on November 28 with the Ministerial Session. Ministers and officials from Energy Charter member and observer countries are gathered to address the topic of Innovation in Energy, with a particular focus on the role of innovation in driving energy security, sustainability and prosperity.
